Estonoa comes from a Native American word meaning “Land of Blue Water”. This name was given to an area of Clinch River near St. Paul, VA (Kampton’s childhood home town) by a band of southeastern traveling Native Americans (most likely Shawnee). They  stopped in the St. Paul, VA area of the Clinch River to fish on their way to Grundy, VA. This Estonoa area of the Clinch River was home to Daniel Boone, Captain William Russell (Captain of the Militia) who settled at Russell’s Fort in Castlewood, and local Abingdon hero and legend, John Douglas. John Douglas’s final place of rest is given tribute on US Route 19 north of Abingdon at John Douglas Wayside. At an earlier time Estonoa was the name of  the original  post office in St. Paul, VA on the Norfolk and Western  Clinch Valley Line.

Estonoa Media’s goal is to offer videography, video transfer, and to create promotional streaming video for customers to use in their offices and on business websites. Estonoa Media uses state of the art equipment, software editing programs, and skilled professionals in video, sound, and lighting.
